The Cub Scout uniform isn’t just for show—it’s a badge of honor. It builds pride, signals achievement, and reminds Scouts of their promise to live by the Scout Oath and Law. Plus, it lets the community know these kids are part of something bigger than themselves—something awesome.
The Class A Uniform, sometimes called the Field Uniform, is worn for formal occasions like flag ceremonies, pack meetings, visiting a Scouts BSA troop, and other official events. It’s a symbol of belonging and respect for the traditions of Scouting.
We know uniforms can be a big expense, so do what works best for your family.
Lions wear the official Lion t-shirt (no patches), neckerchief, and slide.
We encourage Lions through Bears to have a belt so they can wear their adventure loops.
Pants (or Skort), hat, & socks are optional, add them when you can.
Where do I get the uniform?
We do have several options:
Online at the Scout Shop
Tuckahoe Scout Shop - 400 Tuckahoe Road Dillsburg PA 17019 (717-795-2703)
Resellers such as - Facebook Marketplace, eBay, thrift stores and more
Pack 89 has a community lending closet with uniforms available to borrow. When your Scout outgrows theirs, please return it so another family can use it. If you chose to use this option, see Pam Throop or Erin Gagabuan.
