Mary Girven (Miss Mary) may be new to the Pack 89 leadership roster, but she’s already swooped in with the calm focus of an owl & a heart always ready to help. She joined our wild and wonderful crew in August 2025 when her son became a Lion, quickly stepping up as Pack Secretary, the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps communication sharp, records tidy, & adult volunteers pretending they’re more organized than they really are.
Outside the Pack, she has a soft spot for owls & giraffes (because why choose just one?) plus a quirky collection of 75+ salt & pepper shaker sets.
Mary hopes her Scouts grow up remembering what it feels like to help others, belong to something bigger than themselves, & walk through the world with kindness ready at the paw. Those lessons last long after the uniforms are packed away.
Favorite point of the Scout Law: Helpful
Mary lives it every day. Whether it’s picking up what someone dropped, brainstorming an idea, or just being the buddy someone needs, she knows helpful comes in every size & shape.
